Senior Technical Program Management - Data

What you will do

• Own the planning and delivery of the Data program portfolio, including prioritization, sequencing, trade-offs, and dependencies.
• Lead complex, cross-functional Data programs covering data governance, classification, access control, and AI-ready infrastructure.
• Turn high-level mandates into structured plans with defined scope, owners, milestones, and delivery cadences.
• Manage risks and dependencies, unblock work across teams, and drive outcomes through influence rather than authority.
• Improve planning hygiene, roadmap visibility, decision-making, governance, capacity planning, and delivery practices across the Data group.
• Build partnerships with Data Platform, Data Science, Engineering, Legal, Security, Product, Growth, and other cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of technical program management experience in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Senior-level experience leading Data Science, product, platform, data governance, data infrastructure, or related programs.
• Deep understanding of product development methodologies and technical systems and practices.
• Experience working with Data Scientists, Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers on major company initiatives.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity, navigate shifting priorities, and lead through communication, influence, and trust.
• Ability to work from Sydney, Australia and participate in Canva’s hybrid working model.
