What you will do

• Install, rearrange, maintain, operate, remove, and inspect overhead and underground electrical transmission and distribution facilities.
• Respond to trouble calls by investigating, locating, clearing, and repairing faults on lines and equipment.
• Perform complex circuit switching and restore service following outages and emergencies.
• Work with hot-line equipment on energized circuits for emergency repairs and routine maintenance.
• Install, remove, operate, and maintain transformers, meters, services, switches, fuses, and related facilities.
• Coordinate with emergency services, customers, construction crews, repair crews, and assigned assisting employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience as a Line Mechanic A, Lineman A, or equivalent experience, or 480 tracked and verifiable hours stepped up to the Line Servicer role.
• All Lineman A qualifications and successful qualification through demonstration, examination, or performance appraisal.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Successful completion of a physical abilities assessment and ability to perform heavy work.
