Procedure Writer, Senior (Nuclear)

Location: Bridgman, MI. Must establish and maintain a permanent residence within a 45-minute safe drive time of the D.C. Cook Nuclear Power Plant.

Salary: $87,633–$128,688 annually, depending on qualifications and assigned compensation grade.

What you will do

• Write and develop new procedures and revise existing procedures for nuclear generation.
• Review plant documents for procedure impacts.
• Coordinate procedure development and revision with other departments and organizations.
• Maintain procedure databases, records, and related documentation.
• Participate in benchmarking and self-assessment plans.
• Investigate assigned condition reports and provide responses to the procedure section.

Requirements

• Associate degree in business, engineering, or nuclear technology.
• For the Procedure Writer level: 6 years of nuclear facility experience, including 4 years of technical experience and 2 years as a procedure or technical writer.
• For the Senior Procedure Writer level: 8 years of nuclear facility experience, including 6 years of technical experience and 2 years as a procedure or technical writer.
• Strong interpersonal, process improvement, analytical, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Permanent residence must be maintained within a 45-minute safe drive time of the D.C. Cook Nuclear Power Plant.
