Commercial Construction Project Engineer (2027)

Location: Atlanta, GA; fully onsite for the 12-month training program, with commuting to jobsites within a 30–40-mile radius of the assigned office

What you will do

• Participate in a structured, paid 12-month construction management training program with hands-on jobsite experience and mentorship.
• Set up and maintain jobsite offices, construction documents, project directories, daily reports, submittal logs, RFI logs, and subcontractor correspondence.
• Support site inspections, construction activities, schedule updates, material take-offs, supplier orders, deliveries, and survey and layout work.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and project staff, including running foremen meetings when directed.
• Assist with project logistics, budgeting, client management, and interpretation of construction tests, reports, and coordination drawings.
• Support the corporate safety program through safety meetings, toolbox talks, and required safety reporting.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Military experience or an accredited associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or Business is strongly preferred.
• Previous commercial jobsite experience and an interest in construction and onsite work are strongly preferred.
• Ability to learn project software including Microsoft Office 365, Procore, Adobe Suite, Bluebeam, and JD Edwards.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be available for fully onsite work and regular commuting to assigned jobsites.
