Salary: $156,000–$176,800 per year, full-time.

What you will do
- Oversee construction managers, office engineers, inspectors, contractors, and related project activities.
- Manage railroad State of Good Repair infrastructure and rehabilitation projects, including budgets and schedules.
- Perform FRA-mandated inspections, prioritize site interventions, and prepare inspection and progress reports.
- Review construction plans, phasing, submittals, RFIs, pay applications, material quantities, and installation dimensions.
- Develop long-range SGR improvement plans and capital and maintenance projects that reduce railway operating risks.
- Train supporting staff and communicate project requirements and solutions to contractors and railroad managers.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of railroad construction experience and 10 years as a Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
- At least 10 years managing State of Good Repair projects for commuter, passenger, or Class 1 railroads.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or 10 years of equivalent field experience.
- PE license or ability to obtain a PE within one year, or Certified Construction Manager certification.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
- Ability to assess jobsite risks, enforce mitigation plans, interpret design and phasing plans, and manage concurrent activities.
