Assistant Professor, Healthcare Administration (AI)

What you will do

• Teach undergraduate Healthcare Administration courses and contribute to graduate-level teaching as appropriate.
• Develop and maintain an active program of scholarship, including peer-reviewed publications and professional presentations.
• Pursue external funding and disseminate research findings.
• Mentor, advise, recruit, and supervise Healthcare Administration student projects.
• Build relationships with healthcare organizations and community partners to support internships and experiential learning.
• Participate in program assessment, university and college committees, professional service, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• PhD in Healthcare Administration, Health Sciences, or a closely related field; advanced ABD candidates may be considered, but the degree must be conferred by the appointment date.
• Evidence of scholarly activity appropriate for tenure-track expectations.
• Capacity to teach undergraduate Healthcare Administration across multiple content areas.
• Ability to contribute to teaching or research in areas such as healthcare information systems, artificial intelligence and emerging healthcare technologies, project management, health law, or health services research.
• Physical presence on the Corpus Christi campus is required as needed.

Nice to have

• At least one year of teaching experience at the baccalaureate or graduate level.
• Experience with peer-reviewed publications, external funding, online course development, or experiential learning partnerships.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and with healthcare organizations and community partners.
