Salary: $16.47–$20.80–$25.13

What you will do

  • Respond to phone inquiries, faxes, and emails from pharmacies, physicians, health-plan sponsors, members, and beneficiaries.
  • Research and resolve questions involving specialty benefits, formulary requirements, eligibility verification, prior authorization, and other PBM processes.
  • Process incoming faxes and forward referrals to the appropriate specialty pharmacy fulfillment partner.
  • Use specialty service-center and database applications to support referral fulfillment and provide accurate benefit information.
  • Follow up with callers, de-escalate difficult interactions, and provide timely, solution-oriented resolutions.
  • Meet department standards for hold time, abandonment rate, talk time, quality, turnaround time, and schedule adherence.

Requirements

  • GED or high school diploma and at least six months of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows-based database programs, with the ability to learn new applications.
  • Strong listening, verbal, written, interpersonal, customer-service, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow procedures, meet commitments, handle sensitive inquiries, and work effectively with internal and external clients.
  • Valid, unrestricted state pharmacy technician license and/or national certification is strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to work on-site at the applicable company location unless remote work is approved by management.
