Automation Robotics Specialist (Industrial Robotics)

What you will do

• Own automation performance and optimize automated manufacturing cells for cycle time, throughput, quality, and uptime.
• Develop, modify, test, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, robot, vision, motion-control, safety, and industrial communication programs.
• Optimize robot paths, motion profiles, sequencing, interlocks, alarms, and recovery routines while maintaining safe operation.
• Perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions to eliminate recurring equipment and process failures.
• Support installation, commissioning, launch, and the first 90 days of stabilization with plant and cross-functional teams.
• Complete offline programming, reach studies, cycle-time simulations, risk assessments, system validation, documentation, and sustainment handoffs.

Requirements

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology, robotics, automation, electrical engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• At least five years of hands-on experience programming, integrating, optimizing, and troubleshooting industrial automation and robotic systems in manufacturing.
• Expert-level Rockwell ControlLogix and Studio 5000 experience, including Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagrams, sequencing, and safety programming.
• Expert-level Fanuc robot programming and integration, including TP programming, KAREL, path optimization, mastering, calibration, and offline programming with Roboguide or WinOLPC.
• Experience with Fanuc iRVision, Keyence CV-X, Cognex In-Sight or VisionPro, industrial networks, motion systems, sensors, and error-proofing devices.
• Strong electrical, controls, networking, structured troubleshooting, technical documentation, and version-control skills; current or completed relevant Rockwell, Fanuc, safety, and vision training is expected.

Nice to have

• Experience with Factory I/O or FlexSim.
• Cognex Certified Vision Professional certification.
