Senior Mechatronics Controls Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Develop robotic automation products across the full lifecycle, from concept through production and long-term support.
• Program PLC-based industrial control systems, preferably using Siemens TIA Portal with SCL, LAD, and FBD.
• Orchestrate motor-driven roller conveyor systems and integrate sensors, drives, barcode scanners, and robot arms.
• Design industrial communications networks and distributed I/O using Ethernet/IP, Profinet, ASi, and IO-Link.
• Debug complex electromechanical devices using design documents, first-principles analysis, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and thermal sensors.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to turn ambiguous problems into practical engineering solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Six or more years of related experience in material handling, process automation, piece-part automation, semiconductor, or similar industries.
• Experience bringing industrial automation systems into production and supporting them throughout their lifecycle.
• Experience supporting functionally safe electromechanical systems, including risk assessment and hazard analysis.
• Experience with PLC programming, conveyor controls, motor architectures from 50W to 3kW, sensors, drives, and industrial networks.

Nice to have

• Git source control, CI/CD concepts, and build automation experience.
• Practical data analysis for engineering prioritization and debugging.
• Experience defining APIs for control-system interfaces with higher-level software.
• Experience developing and maintaining electrical designs in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical.
