Agile Developer 3 (Java/AWS)

Location: On-site in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States

Salary: $83.61–$113.22 per hour, plus eligibility for a $5,000 bonus.

What you will do

• Modernize a legacy operational system using microservices-based architecture.
• Analyze, design, verify, validate, implement, and maintain complex software systems.
• Build Java Spring Boot microservices and REST services using AWS-native technologies.
• Use Python to optimize AWS Lambda, Step Functions, EC2, and S3 services.
• Implement CI/CD practices with Maven, GitLab, GitOps, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Create documentation and training materials, and present briefings and demonstrations to stakeholders.

Requirements

• United States citizenship and an appropriate security clearance are required, including TS/SCI with an agency-appropriate polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent combined education and experience.
• At least 9 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Java, Python, cloud environments, Spring Boot, REST services, and AWS technologies.
• Experience with Cucumber, Cypress, Playwright, CI/CD tools, Kubernetes, Docker, and rules engines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in an Agile software development environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS Lambda, Step Functions, S3, MongoDB, OpenSearch, RDS, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
