Crop Insurance Adjuster (Crop Insurance)

Location: Remote from Texas, covering a territory in Texas; requires up to 75% travel and regular field work on farms and ranches.

What you will do

• Conduct first contact with policyholders after a farm or ranch loss.
• Inspect fields, read maps and aerial photographs, measure fields and storage bins, and collect production records.
• Determine causes and percentages of loss using independent judgment and escalate unresolved issues to the Area Claims Supervisor.
• Assess and settle claims under Multi-Peril Crop Insurance, Crop Hail, and Named Peril policies.
• Explain regulations and procedures to claimants, agents, and industry stakeholders.
• Build knowledge of RMA regulations, federal crop insurance rules, and hirify.global procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Crop insurance claims or compliance experience, or an agriculture-related background.
• Analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer and internet application skills.
• Communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Reliable transportation, willingness to travel, and ability to work in the field, including climbing grain bins and walking long distances over rough terrain.

Nice to have

• Claim Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) certification.
• Applicable state agency licenses.
