Maintenance Technician (Facilities)

Location: The Reserve at Greensboro, Greensboro, North Carolina, United States; on-site at the assigned property with periodic travel and on-call duties.

What you will do

• Respond to maintenance and repair service requests and complete them in a timely, professional manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, system monitoring, and repairs for major building systems.
• Test and maintain life-safety systems, including fire pumps, alarms, sprinklers, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, emergency lighting, and fire extinguishers.
• Prepare apartments for turnovers and maintain the physical condition and safety of the property.
• Manage keys and security protocols, including unlocking apartments and escorting vendors.
• Coordinate vendor deliveries, contractor schedules, maintenance objectives, and daily assignments with management.

Requirements

• High school/GED or trade school diploma and 3–5 years of full-time general maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination.
• HVAC certification and EPA 608 certification covering Core, Type I, II, and III.
• Certified Pool Operator certification or willingness to obtain it within six months.
• Knowledge of key management, security, safety procedures, and basic computer operations, including Entrata, CMMS, building automation, and digital control systems.
• Valid driver’s license, effective communication skills, punctuality, dependability, and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to stand for 8 hours or longer, lift up to 100 lbs., travel when required, and work flexible hours including after-hours and weekends.
