TL;DR
Service Repair Technician (Robotics/MedTech): Repairing, testing, upgrading, and documenting complex robotic electromechanical assemblies for medical devices with an accent on troubleshooting, quality compliance, and traceable repair records. Location: Santa Clara, California, United States; onsite laboratory and assembly environment

Salary: $57,500–$92,575 per year

What you will do

  • Repair, rework, test, and upgrade robotic platform subsystems, interfaces, and components.
  • Disassemble, assemble, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components using hand tools, machines, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Document test plans, device history records, repairs, test results, conclusions, and requirements traceability for release decisions and audits.
  • Investigate test failures, identify root causes, verify corrective actions, and provide detailed failure symptoms for component-level troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Failure Analysis, R&D, and warehouse teams.
  • Maintain workmanship, ESD, clean manufacturing, hazardous waste, safety, GMP, and GDP standards.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2–4 years of experience in medical devices or capital equipment.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring schematics.
  • Ability to configure computer hardware and software and apply analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Ability to work onsite in Santa Clara and availability for an extended day shift, preferably 8:00am–4:30pm.

Nice to have

  • Robotics repair support experience.
  • Agile PLM, SAP, MS Dynamics, or MES experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
