Senior Program Manager, Technology (Software Asset Management)

Location: United States — Remote

Salary: $120,500–$220,500 annually, depending on location, skills, knowledge, and experience.

What you will do

• Lead high-impact, high-risk Software Asset Management programs and enterprise process improvements.
• Drive SAM transformation using FlexeraOne, automation, generative AI workflows, and AI-powered analytics.
• Manage software lifecycle, licensing, audit readiness, compliance, cost containment, and license-risk reduction.
• Partner with Vendor Management, Sourcing, Security, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Procurement, Product Management, and HR.
• Present progress, risks, KPIs, and actionable recommendations to executive stakeholders and steering committees.
• Build SAM maturity through mentoring, playbooks, templates, knowledge sharing, and scalable best practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience managing large-scale, cross-functional programs focused on Software Asset Management.
• 7+ years of experience delivering high-impact, multimillion-dollar programs on time and within budget.
• Deep knowledge of SAM principles, software lifecycle management, licensing models, software audits, and audit readiness.
• Expert knowledge of FlexeraOne, including foundational back-end knowledge.
• Experience with major on-premises and cloud vendors such as Oracle, Google, Azure, and AWS.
• Strong executive communication, analytical, leadership, stakeholder-management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• SAM, ITIL, or IAITAM certifications such as CSAM or FNMS certification.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Wiz, Configuration Management, JAMF, or Intune.
• Experience implementing cloud-based SAM processes and understanding the intersection of software governance and cyber risk.
