Software QA Engineer (AI)

Location: South Jordan, Utah, USA; in-office at least 4–5 days per week. Must be living in or willing to relocate to Salt Lake City, Utah. Relocation assistance is available.

What you will do

• Design, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases for web, mobile, desktop, API, hardware, and AI-powered products.
• Validate user stories, REST APIs, integrations, connected-device experiences, and end-to-end customer workflows.
• Perform functional, regression, exploratory, integration, and system testing across multiple platforms.
• Test device onboarding, connectivity, firmware updates, ownership management, and behavior under varying network and environmental conditions.
• Analyze logs, API traffic, and backend systems to troubleshoot client-server issues and manage defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Program teams on sprint planning, quality risks, and release readiness.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of software QA experience and a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Must be living in or willing to relocate to Salt Lake City, Utah; the position requires in-office work 4–5 days per week.
• Strong knowledge of software testing fundamentals, SDLC, QA methodologies, test planning, test case development, and Agile processes.
• Experience testing web, mobile, desktop, and API-based applications, including REST APIs and web services.
• Experience with browser debugging tools, log analysis, client-server troubleshooting, and defect management.
• Experience testing AI, machine learning, recommendation, search, or generative AI features, including evaluation of output quality, consistency, reliability, bias, hallucinations, and safety.

Nice to have

• Experience testing software integrated with hardware devices and qualifying consumer electronics.
• Experience with cloud services, microservice architectures, test automation frameworks, telemetry, analytics, and monitoring tools.
• Experience with large-scale end-to-end system testing.
