Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op

What you will do

• Support manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced production environment.
• Participate in daily Tier meetings to monitor production performance, identify challenges, and support operational priorities.
• Create, update, and maintain manufacturing work instructions and process documentation.
• Analyze manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and eliminate waste.
• Prepare Management of Change documentation and present proposed process improvements to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Collect and analyze production data while collaborating with operations, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline, with at least one year of completed coursework.
• Graduation year of 2027, 2028, or 2029.
• Available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., from January through June.
• Must meet the university's requirements for participation in a co-op program.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work with employees at all organizational levels.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift at least 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Previous manufacturing, production, internship, co-op, or hands-on technical experience.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software.
• Interest in manufacturing processes, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
