Senior Director, Engineering (AI)

Location: United States, New York City; hybrid work at a site 2 to 3 days per week. The role may also be based in Collegeville, Pennsylvania.

Annual base salary: $214,900–$358,100, plus a 22.5% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end engineering delivery for Medical Affairs' AI acceleration portfolio, translating architecture and product requirements into production-grade software.
• Lead the construction and deployment of agentic AI systems, LLM integrations, RAG pipelines, and enterprise data integrations.
• Establish engineering standards, coding practices, CI/CD pipelines, environment strategy, release management, and LLMOps/MLOps practices.
• Own production reliability, uptime, incident response, technical debt remediation, and engineering risk management.
• Partner with Solution Architecture, Product Management, Security, Compliance, platform teams, and workflow design stakeholders.
• Manage, coach, hire, and develop three Build Engineers and one Data Integration Engineer while building an AI-native engineering culture.

Requirements

• Permanent authorization to work in the United States is required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 12+ years of progressive software or data engineering experience, including 4–5+ years in engineering leadership or management.
• Experience building and shipping production AI/ML or LLM-based systems at enterprise scale.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, API-first design, CI/CD, DevOps, LLMOps/MLOps, vector databases, RAG pipelines, and agent orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with enterprise data integration, pipeline development, people management, and Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Regular travel to hirify.global offices, vendor offices, and team meeting locations may be required, with occasional off-hours work for global coordination or production incidents.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in a technical field.
• Pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated-industry experience with GxP, HIPAA, and GDPR requirements.
• Experience with Veeva CRM, Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud integrations.
• AWS or Azure architecture/developer certification, or Certified Scrum Master certification.
