Activision 2027 Summer Internships - MBA (Gaming)

Location: In-person in Santa Monica, California; applicants must currently reside in the US or be open to relocating to the US.

Salary: $20.00–$50.00 hourly in the US.

Activision develops, publishes, and distributes interactive entertainment, including major video game franchises such as Call of Duty, Crash Bandicoot, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, and Guitar Hero.

What you will do

• Complete a meaningful 12-week summer internship project with direct impact on a team.
• Support technology strategy by evaluating technology investments, analyzing large-scale systems, improving development pipelines, and driving operational efficiencies.
• Partner with technical product managers, engineers, game studio leaders, and cross-functional teams.
• Support studio strategy and operations through executive presentations, operational trend analysis, workforce planning, and process improvement.
• Turn quantitative and operational data into business insights, strategic recommendations, and decisions that improve game development and studio performance.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an MBA program and graduating between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Available for a 12-week internship beginning in mid-May or mid-June.
• Completed a bachelor’s degree; relevant fields include computer science, engineering, mathematics, business, economics, finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in technology, product management, analytics, consulting, finance, strategy, or business operations, depending on the internship track.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and influence skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, Excel, financial modeling, forecasting, or data visualization.
• Exposure to game engines, technology strategy, management consulting, or gaming infrastructure.
• Leadership experience through extracurricular activities, entrepreneurial ventures, student organizations, or side projects.
