AI/ML Engineer (Agentic Systems)

Location: Hybrid, with on-site work 2 to 3 days per week at NYHQ, Collegeville, PA, Cambridge, MA, Groton, CT, any hirify.global site in Europe, or Montreal, QC. Permanent U.S. work authorization is required.

Annual base salary: $162,900–$271,500, plus a 20% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Own orchestration frameworks and agent architectures for AI-based analytical workflows.
• Build, harden, and deploy production-grade agentic systems, including prompt architectures and tool/API integrations.
• Translate analytical methodologies and evaluation criteria into reliable production agents.
• Integrate agents with clean, well-structured data in partnership with data engineering.
• Implement monitoring, evaluation, and cost controls for LLM-based systems.
• Document architecture, prompts, and integrations to support governance, audits, and compliance.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• 7+ years of software or ML engineering experience with a master's degree, or 8+ years with a bachelor's degree, notably in healthcare or pharma.
• Experience with agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, Pydantic AI, or similar technologies.
• Strong software engineering experience, including production system design and testing.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs and applying MLOps practices such as evaluation, monitoring, and cost control.
• Effective English communication and permanent U.S. work authorization are required; U.S. visa sponsorship is not available.

• Experience working with scientific, technical, regulatory, and business stakeholders.
• Understanding of technology applications in the life sciences sector.
