Software Engineer I - Platform Engineer - Core Compute Platform (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Hybrid in New York, NY, with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote

Salary: $125,000–$150,000 USD gross annual base salary, plus equity and benefits

What you will do

• Help evolve the core compute platform, primarily Amazon EKS on AWS, for AI and agentic development workflows.
• Design and build reusable SDKs, services, shared packages, and developer tooling.
• Create intuitive platform interfaces and abstractions that reduce complexity and improve developer velocity.
• Contribute to automation, platform performance, reliability, deployment, and production support initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and application teams to identify and implement technical improvements.
• Promote software development quality standards and best practices across the organization.

Requirements

• Graduating in Spring or Summer 2026 with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, EECS, statistics, or a related technical field.
• Experience from internships, research, or personal projects with one or more of Python, Go, Java, or C#.
• Exposure to cloud and infrastructure technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS, Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, or Crossplane.
• Interest in distributed systems, scalability, reliability, platform engineering, and infrastructure for large-scale applications.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and continuous-learning skills.
• Ability to own projects from implementation through deployment and production support.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, platform engineering, DevOps, developer tooling, AI infrastructure, or automation projects.
