Associate Actuary (Medicaid)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices may be required for training or meetings.

Salary: $106,900–$147,000 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Support capitation rate reviews for the Illinois Medicaid market.
• Draft rate advocacy communications and provide ad hoc market support.
• Perform actual-to-expected business analytics.
• Forecast market-specific financial results.
• Advise executives on complex, segment-specific functional strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• ASA designation plus an advanced degree, recent relevant experience, and/or other relevant professional designations.
• At least 3 years of technical experience.
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely from within the United States.
• Dedicated workspace and internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Medicaid regulations, programs, and state plan benefits.
• Experience with capitation rate development from a state agency or payer perspective.
• Detailed understanding of healthcare claims.
• Experience developing Microsoft Power BI dashboards.
