Sr Managing Actuary - WFH

Location: National Remote; work from home 5 days a week

Base pay: $112,200–$202,600 annually, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Manage the implementation, maintenance, critical review, and analysis of actuarial models, studies, and systems.
• Apply actuarial principles to pricing, underwriting, statistics, reserving, forecasting, and related functions.
• Develop complex models and teach others how to develop models.
• Prepare written and oral presentations that support business decision-making.
• Manage complex day-to-day projects involving actuarial and non-actuarial departments and external parties.
• Apply expertise across multiple actuarial areas and at least one business segment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or another qualifying discipline.
• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation and membership in the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), including compliance with membership requirements.
• At least 5 years of actuarial experience in health insurance or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a management or lead capacity.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for documentation, training, development, and presentations.
• PC proficiency, including Word and Excel.

Nice to have

• Access, SQL, Visual Basic, or other programming skills.
• Medicare Part D experience.
• Medicaid experience.
