TL;DR
Innovation, Data & Analytics Team, Data Engineer (Healthcare AI): Building and operating production data pipelines and canonical healthcare data models for AI-based workflows, analytics, and agentic systems with an accent on Databricks, Snowflake, SQL, Python, and OMOP/HEDIS mappings. Focus on ensuring production reliability, validating data quality and model conformance, optimizing pipeline performance and cost, and supporting regulated healthcare data operations.

Location: Hybrid, requiring onsite work 2–3 days per week at NYHQ, Collegeville, PA, Cambridge, MA, Groton, CT, a hirify.global site in Europe, or Montreal, QC. Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States.

Annual base salary: $124,400–$207,400, plus a 17.5% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain production data pipelines based on governance and compliance standards.
  • Operate and monitor data platforms including Databricks and Snowflake, responding to incidents and ensuring reliability.
  • Implement canonical healthcare data models, including OMOP and HEDIS mappings where applicable.
  • Provide clean, timely, well-structured data for analytics, AI/ML models, and agentic workflows.
  • Partner with data analysts, data scientists, AI/ML engineers, governance, and engineering stakeholders to validate mappings and data needs.
  • Identify data quality issues and improve pipeline performance, cost, maintainability, documentation, and audit readiness.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience with a master's degree or 6+ years with a bachelor's degree in data engineering, preferably in healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or similar technologies.
  • Experience designing and orchestrating ETL/ELT pipelines and working with healthcare data such as claims, EHR, HEDIS, or OMOP.
  • U.S. employment authorization by any employer and permanent U.S. work authorization are required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available.
