Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster Trainee (Auto Insurance)

Location: US-based working hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM PST; occasional travel for Small Claims Court appearances may be required

What you will do

• Investigate bodily injury and uninsured motorist bodily injury claims by reviewing police reports, medical records, bills, claimant statements, and other documentation.
• Evaluate claim facts, policy coverage, liability exposure, damages, and appropriate settlement values.
• Communicate with claimants, attorneys, medical providers, supervisors, and other involved parties.
• Maintain accurate claim files, monitor demand deadlines, and support timely claim resolution.
• Assist with settlement recommendations while following company procedures, state regulations, and claims-handling guidelines.
• Develop technical, investigative, medical, and negotiation skills through hands-on training with experienced adjusters and leaders.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of frontline claims handling experience.
• Prior auto claims experience required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent insurance industry experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, organization, and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn and apply medical and legal concepts, review detailed records, and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and claims management systems; availability for overtime as needed and no planned time off during the first 60 days.
