Worker Compensation Associate Claims Representative (Insurance)

Location: GA - Alpharetta, United States; participation in telephonic and/or onsite file reviews is required.

Salary: $52,600–$86,800 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Complete structured virtual, classroom, and on-the-job training in insurance policies, claim processes, systems, and procedures.
• Review, investigate, document, and evaluate workers compensation claims under close supervision.
• Assess coverage, compensability, exposure, and potential fraud, and develop action plans for claim resolution.
• Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, medical providers, and legal counsel, and communicate claim status.
• Maintain accurate claim records and coordinate medical treatment to support an injured party's return to work when appropriate.
• Obtain and maintain relevant insurance or adjuster licenses within three months of starting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or required according to the candidate profile.
• Previous internship or work experience in customer service or insurance.
• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound judgment, customer service ability, attention to detail, organization, conflict resolution skills, and willingness to learn claims management.
