Manager, Technical Accounting & Policy

Location: Hybrid, generally contributing from the Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey office at least three days per week; must be willing to work in the office.

Salary: $90,000–$125,000 per year, bonus eligible.

What you will do

• Lead accounting analysis and documentation for complex and non-recurring transactions, including business combinations, divestitures, leases, impairments, and restructuring.
• Prepare and maintain technical accounting memos supporting management conclusions under U.S. GAAP in partnership with external auditors.
• Provide technical guidance to Controllership, FP&A, and business unit finance teams and translate accounting guidance into operational execution.
• Monitor emerging accounting pronouncements and coordinate implementation readiness across relevant teams.
• Support technical disclosures, MD&A sections, SOX control documentation, training materials, and audit-readiness initiatives.
• Coordinate with the VP of Technical Accounting & Policy and external auditors on comments, walkthroughs, deliverables, and policy updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification required.
• At least 4 years of experience in financial accounting, audit, or accounting policy roles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, collaboration, and influencing skills with close attention to detail.
• Ability and willingness to work from the Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey office at least three days per week.
