What you will do

• Provide high-quality patient care and maintain a professional doctor’s office and pre-test room.
• Explain preliminary examinations and give clear instructions to patients.
• Complete paperwork, perform exam pre-screening, and conduct testing before the doctor examination.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings for eligible patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient information, identify special needs, and consult with the optician, doctor, or retail management.
• Maintain doctor and pre-test equipment in proper working condition.

Requirements

• Strong customer service, interpersonal, organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Ability to learn optical knowledge and understand ocular terminology, diseases, and abbreviations.
• Ability to communicate instructions clearly and concisely.
• Detail-oriented, professional attitude and appearance.
• Previous retail or optical experience is preferred but not required.
