What you will do

• Conduct patient pre-screenings and preliminary vision testing before the optometrist examination.
• Explain preliminary examinations and provide clear instructions to patients.
• Promote visual field testing and retinal screenings for eligible patients.
• Review prescriptions and patient information, identify special needs, and consult with the optician, doctor, or retail management when needed.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain the doctor’s office, pretest room, and examination equipment.

Requirements

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn optical terminology, ocular diseases, and related abbreviations.
• Clear and concise communication skills.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Professional attitude and appearance.
• Previous retail or optical experience is preferred but not required; training is provided.
