What you will do

• Support the Financials Portfolio Manager by generating differentiated investment ideas covering banks and consumer finance stocks.
• Construct and maintain detailed financial and industry models.
• Conduct primary equity research and prepare financial and industry analysis.
• Generate long and short recommendations for the portfolio.
• Attend industry conferences and meet with company management teams and sell-side analysts.
• Build and maintain professional relationships across the financial services industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, a related field, or a foreign equivalent.
• Three years of progressively responsible experience as an Analyst or in a similar financial services occupation.
• Three years of experience covering the financials sector, specifically consumer finance or bank stocks.
• Three years of experience with model construction and maintenance, primary equity research, and financial and industry analysis.
• Experience identifying stock-specific KPIs, incorporating alternative data into detailed financial models, and determining variant views relative to consensus.
• Experience analyzing macroeconomic conditions, assessing their influence on the financials sector, and backtesting a stock coverage universe.
