Regulatory Surveillance Analyst 2 (AI)

What you will do

• Review eComms and trade surveillance alerts for new and existing clients.
• Decode trader terminology and work with front-office staff to understand complex trading concepts.
• Identify and escalate communications or activities that may indicate market abuse, conflicts of interest, or other misconduct.
• Monitor regulatory and market developments and identify improvements needed for surveillance controls and compliance processes.
• Research complex topics, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions that support business goals.
• Contribute to the design and improvement of the AI-based Compliance product for expansion into multiple markets.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of market abuse and other misconduct risks in financial services.
• Good understanding of the regulatory landscape and relevant regulatory guidance.
• Good understanding of trader language, surveillance operating models, and governance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work proactively and autonomously on complex projects.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement from the Toronto office.
