Technician 3, Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on sputter equipment according to scheduled maintenance plans.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, vacuum, and control system failures.
• Inspect equipment, verify operating performance, and document maintenance activities and corrective actions.
• Use multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other measurement instruments for troubleshooting.
• Support equipment recovery, improvement projects, machine upgrades, and system modifications to minimize production downtime.
• Provide technical guidance to junior technicians and collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Diploma or Advanced/Higher Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical Engineering.
• 3–6 years of equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and system diagrams.
• Experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and control systems, with knowledge of vacuum systems and sputter equipment operation.
• Ability to work 12-hour AWS shifts and overtime as required.

Nice to have

• Experience with vacuum systems or sputtering equipment.
• Experience in sputter media or semiconductor manufacturing.
• Knowledge of high-vacuum technology, plasma processes, or thin-film deposition systems.
