Software Engineer (L2), Identity

Location: Remote - US. Occasional travel may be required for project or team in-person meetings.

Salary: $106,320–$156,300 annually, depending on location. Compensation ranges apply to specified US states and regions; hiring is not restricted to those listed locations.

What you will do

• Build and scale backend capabilities for Stytch’s identity platform within Twilio.
• Develop REST API surfaces, authentication flows, and solutions for agentic and non-human identities.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to translate customer needs into roadmap features.
• Collaborate across Twilio and Stytch on architecture, platform integration, and cross-team initiatives.
• Own technical decisions, author design documents, review code, and mentor engineers.
• Improve production quality through observability, incident response, and remediation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience designing, building, and operating high-scale, mission-critical cloud production systems.
• Experience working with a production-grade codebase in a modern programming language and applying coding best practices.
• Extensive experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Availability for non-standard hours, including on-call rotations during weekends and holidays.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Go, TypeScript, and DynamoDB.
• Experience building developer tools or SDKs.
• Experience building and owning products used by paying customers.
