What you will do

• Diagnose, maintain, repair, fabricate, and assemble hand tools, power tools, hydraulic tools, and related equipment.
• Investigate equipment failures, prepare reports, recommend corrective actions, and maintain required records.
• Perform dielectric tests on hot sticks and fabricate and test grounds.
• Research tool needs, order equipment, operate infrared cameras and specialized equipment, and perform field work as assigned.
• Handle waste materials, oil leaks, solvents, and cleaners in accordance with safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Operate automotive equipment and heavy machinery, maintain work areas, support training, and direct assigned assisting employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education and/or experience.
• At least two years of satisfactory experience as a mechanic.
• Working knowledge of shop maintenance, materials, equipment, tools, electricity, and shop equipment operation.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, specifications, drawings, and diagrams, with demonstrated proficiency in PC applications.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License required and must be maintained in compliance with federal and state vehicle-operation requirements.
• Recommended results from the HireVue Line Worker Virtual Job Tryout are required; the online assessment typically takes about 45 minutes.
