TL;DR
Vice President, Global Medical Affairs, Neuroscience (Neuroscience): Leading integrated global medical affairs strategies, evidence generation, data dissemination, lifecycle management, and patient access for a neuroscience portfolio with an accent on scientific strategy, stakeholder engagement, and compliant cross-functional execution. Focus on guiding portfolio priorities, safety and risk management, global launch planning, and leading a 10–15-person medical affairs organization.

Location: Raritan, New Jersey, United States. Hybrid schedule with three days in the office and up to two days remote per week.

Base pay: $242,000–$446,200 annually, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus and long-term incentive program.

What you will do

  • Lead integrated global medical affairs strategies and operational plans for the neuroscience therapeutic area portfolio.
  • Direct global evidence generation, data dissemination, medical education, publication planning, patient advocacy, and external scientific engagement.
  • Coordinate lifecycle management, launch planning, portfolio prioritization, resource allocation, and investment strategies with R&D, regional medical affairs, public health, access, and business development teams.
  • Provide medical oversight for clinical studies, market research, regulatory document reviews, medically important results, safety management, and risk-management activities.
  • Represent Medical Affairs in leadership, labelling, development, lifecycle management, licensing, merger, and acquisition activities.
  • Lead, mentor, coach, and manage a team of approximately 10–15 full-time employees.

Requirements

  • MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent degree required.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant post-training pharmaceutical experience.
  • Product launch experience with small molecules and biologics.
  • At least 5 years of people-management experience.
  • Strong strategic thinking, scientific understanding, communication, collaboration, matrix management, and cross-cultural influence skills.
  • Ability to work in the Raritan, New Jersey office three days per week is required.

Nice to have

  • Board eligibility or certification in Neurology or Psychiatry.
  • Clinical credentials such as residency training, postdoctoral fellowship, medical specialty board certification, or active medical licensure.
  • Experience building Medical Affairs functions in new company or industry areas.
  • Business experience in both large and small companies.
