What you will do

  • Lead the integrated U.S. Medical Affairs strategy for the cardiovascular portfolio, including Repatha and pipeline assets.
  • Translate global strategies and clinical evidence into U.S. medical priorities addressing patient, healthcare professional, payer, and health-system needs.
  • Direct evidence generation, implementation science, scientific communication, medical education, congress strategy, launch readiness, and lifecycle management.
  • Partner with Field Medical, Clinical Development, Commercial, Access, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, Global Medical Affairs, and Obesity Medical teams.
  • Engage professional societies, experts, advocacy organizations, health systems, payers, academic networks, and other cardiovascular stakeholders.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing U.S. Medical Affairs team while managing portfolio governance, prioritization, resources, and budgets.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree and 6 years of medical affairs/cardiovascular experience, or master’s degree and 10 years, or bachelor’s degree and 12 years.
  • At least 6 years of managerial or team leadership experience.
  • Experience developing and executing U.S. Medical Affairs strategies across portfolios or multiple assets.
  • Experience with U.S. product launches, lifecycle management, evidence generation, scientific communication, and external engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular disease, U.S. healthcare systems, clinical guidelines, reimbursement, access, quality measures, policy, and compliance requirements.
  • Strategic thinking, executive communication, change leadership, matrix leadership, budgeting, governance, and resource-management capabilities.

Nice to have

  • MD or another advanced clinical or scientific degree.
  • 10 or more years of biopharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Experience with implementation science, AI-enabled solutions, and above-brand disease-state strategies.
  • Experience partnering with U.S. professional societies, payers, health systems, academic institutions, and advocacy organizations.
