Summer Internship - Digital/AI Transformation

Location: Herndon Area, Virginia, United States; in-office/onsite work required.

Salary: $24–$39.75 per hour, depending on degree program, year in school, skills, experience, and geographic differential.

hirify.global Defence and Space provides aerospace and defence products and services, with this role supporting the Aftermarket Customer Services department.

What you will do

• Draft change communications, workshop invitations, event emails, and progress updates.
• Plan and facilitate engagement workshops and change management events.
• Gather user feedback, assess adoption of AI and digital tools, and support continuous improvement.
• Support change management planning, stakeholder alignment, and leadership presentations.
• Coordinate communication between change management, digital, and technical teams.
• Bridge AI and computer science concepts with business strategy and digital product development.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship or work authorization.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Academic or project experience in Computer Science and AI, with a strong foundation in AI concepts and computer science fundamentals.
• Demonstrated ability to work with Scrum and SAFe for digital product development.
• Ability to communicate technical topics clearly to non-technical audiences and strong organizational and event planning skills.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Coursework or a minor in Business Administration, Organizational Change, Communications, or Technology Strategy.
• Exposure to change management, stakeholder engagement, or corporate digital transformation.
• Introductory certification or coursework in Change Management, Agile/Scrum, or Project Management.
• French or German language skills.
• Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Jira, Trello, Asana, collaboration software, modern AI tools, or software engineering principles.
