Maintenance Technician - SLS (Additive Manufacturing)

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. Workplace: On-site. Due to ITAR regulations, applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or foreign nationals with refugee or asylee status; temporary visa holders are not eligible.

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, installations, start-ups, shutdowns, and calibrations on production and support equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment issues using checklists and diagnostic tools.
• Schedule and communicate required machine downtime with supervisors and production scheduling teams.
• Follow LOTO, OSHA, safety, quality, and equipment operating procedures while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Partner with Engineering to improve equipment reliability and functionality, including designing and building machine-performance parts.
• Design and execute experiments to identify the root causes of build failures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; vocational training or an associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 3 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience, or equivalent military experience, in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Basic electrical knowledge up to 480V, including motors, starters, relays, and VFDs.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and basic PLC ladder logic; proficiency with hand tools, power tools, multimeters, clamp meters, and other diagnostic equipment.
• Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements for work in the United States; temporary visa holders are not eligible.

Nice to have

• Experience in an additive manufacturing environment.
• A two- or four-year degree with a technical or engineering focus.
• At least two years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or related equipment maintenance.
