Systems Engineer III (Citrix)

Location: United States; fully remote, with hybrid work required for candidates in the Nashville, TN area. Occasional travel to practice sites may be required.

What you will do

• Own the long-term systems roadmap with the IT Architect and advise IT leadership on technology direction.
• Serve as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex systems issues, including root cause analysis and permanent remediation.
• Architect, engineer, and optimize Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, StoreFront/Workspace, and MCS/PVS provisioning.
• Design automation for provisioning, patching, and configuration using PowerShell and infrastructure-as-code approaches.
• Define systems hardening, backup, disaster recovery, and validation standards supporting HIPAA and HITRUST requirements.
• Mentor systems engineers, establish standards across managed practices, and collaborate with network, project, and vendor teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive systems engineering experience, including MSP or multi-site healthcare environments.
• Principal-level expertise across enterprise systems architecture, compute, virtualization, backup, cloud, and identity.
• Architect-level Citrix expertise covering CVAD/DaaS, Citrix ADC/NetScaler, Gateway, load balancing, profile management, MCS/PVS, and session performance troubleshooting.
• Expert Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy engineering skills.
• Advanced PowerShell and systems automation experience; working knowledge of networking, HIPAA, and HITRUST requirements.
• Strong executive-facing communication and influence across leadership and peer teams; participation in an on-call rotation is required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Healthcare experience and expert-level certifications such as Citrix CCE-V/CCP-V, VCAP/VCDX, AZ-305, or Okta Certified Consultant.
• Experience with VMware/vSphere, Microsoft Azure, Okta, Veeam, Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, or Citrix Analytics/Director.
