Manager, Moderation Quality

Location: San Jose, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days per week

Salary: $110,223–$198,445 annually, with potential discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Quality Analysts responsible for moderation quality.
• Design and continuously improve quality assurance frameworks covering audits, calibration, root-cause analysis, and performance standards.
• Set quality KPIs for internal and vendor teams and manage resource planning across moderation queues and BPO partners.
• Use quantitative and qualitative data to identify systemic risks, improve moderator accuracy, and guide operational strategy.
• Evaluate AI model performance from a quality perspective and recommend improvements to model-assisted enforcement workflows.
• Partner with Operations, Policy, Product, Engineering, Training, and executive stakeholders on quality initiatives, reporting, and automation.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, including at least 3 years in quality assurance, analytics, or operational excellence.
• 2+ years of direct people management experience and a track record of building successful teams.
• Expertise in designing and scaling QA programs in content moderation, including auditing, calibration, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience using data to influence leadership and drive operational improvements in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work on-site in San Jose and regularly handle or oversee work involving graphic and disturbing content.

Nice to have

• Experience managing quality programs for large-scale global BPO operations.
• Advanced proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL and Tableau.
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering on tooling and automation.
• Experience presenting complex data and strategic recommendations to executive audiences.
• Strong program management experience leading large, cross-functional initiatives.
