Equipment Technician (Medical Equipment)

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana, United States; on-site hospital work

Salary: $15.00–$16.00 per hour

What you will do

• Clean and disinfect medical equipment using approved disinfectants and infection control procedures.
• Maintain inventory levels, read par sheets, and obtain supplies through the Stock Acquisition Process.
• Transport equipment with a pushcart and maintain the assigned work area.
• Respond to hospital staff communications and provide professional customer service.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions while following safety procedures and using personal protective equipment.
• Support the shift lead, cover staff shortages, and complete scheduled and punch-list tasks as part of a team.

Requirements

• No specific education requirements.
• Completion of all required safety and task-training certifications.
• Ability to read inventory forms, instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment care, cleaning compounds, and safe chemical use.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
