Military Student Finance Analyst

Location: Lisle, Illinois, USA; hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week, Monday–Thursday

Salary: $21.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support military-affiliated students and external agencies with student finance inquiries through email, phone, Salesforce, and web conferencing.
• Process Direct Bill transactions, VA education benefits, tuition assistance, third-party billing, and accounts receivable activity.
• Support VA School Certifying Official activities, including enrollment certifications, adjustments, reporting, and compliance.
• Resolve student account balances and debt concerns through cross-functional collaboration and proactive follow-up.
• Reconcile accounts, meet service-level agreements and performance benchmarks, and maintain a 95% or higher annual quality assurance accuracy rating.
• Improve military student finance workflows and participate in team meetings, special projects, training, and organizational initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent related experience.
• At least one year of customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with military student finance, active-duty students, veterans, or military-affiliated students preferred.
• Knowledge of VA education benefits, GI Bill programs, Tuition Assistance, military regulations, and Department of Veterans Affairs compliance preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, mathematical, time-management, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, web applications, database systems, higher education systems, and accounts receivable processes.
