AVP, Principal AI Engineer

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, monitor, and optimize production-grade AI and machine learning solutions.
• Build AI-powered applications using LLMs, generative AI, agentic workflows, RAG architectures, and machine learning models.
• Develop cloud-native AI platforms and applications using AWS services, including Bedrock.
• Design APIs, microservices, and reusable platform services for scalable enterprise AI capabilities.
• Partner with product, engineering, data, architecture, and business teams to identify use cases and deliver advisor-focused solutions.
• Provide architectural guidance, mentor engineers, evaluate emerging technologies, and present technical decisions to stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of software engineering, AI/ML engineering, or machine learning development experience, including production AI delivery in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or LangChain.
• Experience developing and deploying generative AI and machine learning solutions, including LLM applications, NLP, RAG, AI agents, or model serving.
• Strong cloud engineering experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including scalable AI/ML workloads and cloud-native applications.
• Experience in regulated industries such as wealth management, financial services, banking, fintech, insurance, or healthcare.
• Knowledge of APIs, microservices, scalable architecture, testing, CI/CD, responsible AI, model governance, security, privacy, and risk management.

Nice to have

• Experience building advisor-facing, customer-facing, or employee-facing AI products.
• Experience with AWS AI services such as Bedrock, SageMaker, Textract, or Comprehend.
• Experience with vector databases, embeddings, knowledge graphs, agentic AI, LLM orchestration, MLOps, and model observability.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks.
• Advanced degree in computer science, engineering, data science, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
