Maintenance Technician (Vacuum Manufacturing)

Location: Longmont, Colorado, USA

Salary: $27–$30 per hour, plus a target 10% profit-sharing bonus and 401(k) matching up to 8%.

What you will do

• Perform weekly preventive maintenance on vacuum deposition systems according to established schedules.
• Replace coating components and critical parts while maintaining accurate equipment logs, schedules, and spare-parts records.
• Disassemble reactor chambers and manage external rework and refurbishment processes.
• Inspect and document equipment condition before and after maintenance.
• Respond to tool-related emergencies and collaborate with process engineering, operations, materials, facilities, and EHS teams to minimize downtime.
• Improve preventive-maintenance procedures and overall system reliability.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use mechanical tools and electronic test equipment.
• Experience handling hazardous materials, including pyrophoric substances, while following safety protocols.
• Accurate record-keeping, organization, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Comfort using PCs and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to lift instruments weighing up to 50 pounds weekly and perform work requiring manual dexterity.
