Software Engineer, AI

Location: Hybrid role based in Atlanta, GA; Hoboken, NJ; or Sandy, UT, with 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely each week.

What you will do

• Build the MCP integration layer and A2A interoperability capabilities connecting enterprise systems to AI agents.
• Develop production-grade agent frameworks, orchestration flows, memory systems, and use-case-specific automation agents.
• Engineer a unified Models Gateway with provider abstraction, routing, fallback, quota, cost, and latency controls.
• Design document ingestion, hybrid retrieval, re-ranking, vector infrastructure, prompt management, and LLM evaluation pipelines.
• Build internal SDKs, GitHub Actions workflows, and developer tooling for AI platform adoption.
• Instrument services with OpenTelemetry, create Azure Monitor dashboards and alerts, and participate in on-call support.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience with Python or TypeScript in production environments.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications, including RAG pipelines, agents, tool use, or prompt engineering systems.
• Strong knowledge of REST API design, asynchronous programming, event-driven architecture, Git workflows, testing, and documentation.
• Experience with an agent or orchestration framework such as LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, or CrewAI.
• Practical Azure experience, including Azure OpenAI, Azure Storage, and Azure Container Apps or AKS.
• Fluent English and availability for the stated hybrid office arrangement are required.

• Experience with MCP servers or clients, Anthropic Claude API, and multi-turn tool-use patterns.
• Experience with vector databases such as Azure AI Search, pgvector, Qdrant, Weaviate, or Pinecone.
• Knowledge of LLM evaluation frameworks, GitHub Copilot Enterprise configuration, or enterprise IT integrations.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, Azure Monitor, or Grafana.
