Associate Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Andover, Massachusetts, United States; onsite work in a professional office and manufacturing environment.

What you will do

• Partner with engineering and product development teams on new product designs and quick-turn production demands.
• Develop production methods, routines, and manufacturing processes for new products.
• Implement and control work instructions, tool drawings, process drawings, and other manufacturing documentation.
• Manage prototype manufacturing resources, including material procurement, equipment maintenance schedules, and workspace organization.
• Estimate manufacturing costs, review time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing, safety, continuous improvement, analytical tools, workflow time studies, and process balancing.
• Ability to collaborate with design engineers, program managers, technical operations, and manufacturing leads.
• Knowledge of solid modeling, tooling and fixture design, product engineering, design reviews, ECR/ECO systems, BOM structures, and engineering documentation.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Oracle and Agile is relevant.
• Work authorization may be subject to ITAR or EAR controlled-goods requirements; certain positions may require U.S.-person status.

Nice to have

• Ability to create 3D models and documents in SolidWorks or similar tools.
• Familiarity with CNC machining and programming tools such as CamWorks, Fusion 360, or Mastercam.
• Interest in robotics for manufacturing and understanding of DFM and DFA principles.
• Experience with mechanical assembly.
