Mechanical Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Santa Clara, CA, United States; onsite role with up to 10% travel. Relocation is not eligible.

Salary: $124,000–$171,000 per year

What you will do

• Troubleshoot difficult mechanical problems with limited supervision.
• Design and modify mechanical layouts, schematics, drawings, and specifications.
• Design and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixtures, and processes for handling, assembly, and disassembly.
• Define, conduct, and document engineering tests and analyses.
• Lead or execute projects, develop suppliers, and create mechanical product specifications.
• Coordinate manufacturing, installation, procurement, and assembly of mechanical components and equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with CAD software, thermodynamics, sheet metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, flow analysis, or Design for Excellence principles.
• Ability to communicate complex or sensitive information and build consensus.
