TL;DR
Counsel, Global Regulatory Affairs (Fintech): Coordinating complex regulatory matters and developing global regulatory strategies for a payments technology company with an accent on regulatory submissions, government engagement, and cross-functional legal advice. Focus on managing time-sensitive matters across 200 countries and territories, drafting responses to regulators and policymakers, and applying emerging technologies and Artificial Intelligence tools to improve legal work.

Location: Hybrid role based in Atlanta, Austin, or San Francisco, United States, with in-office attendance required at least 3 times per week. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $203,800–$326,100 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

  • Coordinate and manage complex, time-sensitive regulatory matters across hirify.global’s global operations.
  • Work with global and regional legal, business, and government affairs teams to support regulatory objectives.
  • Develop and execute global regulatory positions and strategies.
  • Draft regulatory submissions and responses to government requests and public consultations.
  • Support engagements with governments, regulators, and policymakers worldwide.
  • Develop global regulatory best practices and ensure consistent application across functions and regions.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree and J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in the United States and membership in good standing of a U.S. state bar are required.
  • Excellent judgment, analytical, problem-solving, client-counseling, communication, research, and drafting skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively.
  • Resourcefulness, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort using emerging technologies and Artificial Intelligence tools to create efficient ways of working.

Nice to have

  • Eight or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with payments, financial services, technology, public policy, international practice groups, large international organizations, in-house legal teams, or government.
  • International experience and fluency or professional proficiency in foreign languages.
