Material Project Lead (MPL) – 80-100% (Life Sciences)

Location: Visp, Switzerland. The role is primarily site-based, with remote work permitted for no more than 20% of the time on a case-by-case basis.

What you will do

• Manage material requirements for a portfolio of customer projects based on project needs, lead times, and production plans.
• Own the creation, maintenance, review, and decommissioning of project Bills of Materials.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve material issues, identify alternatives, and align on technical solutions.
• Perform material availability checks, batch allocation, supply scenario validation, and production material request reviews.
• Set up safety stock for unique materials according to customer contracts and support material charging through the SMOG process.
• Contribute material management expertise to supply-chain improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, business, supply-chain management, procurement, or a related field.
• Confirmed experience in supply-chain management, materials planning or scheduling, project management, and/or purchasing.
• Proficient knowledge of SAP MM, Power BI, and Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, presentation, collaboration, and influencing skills.
• English proficiency is required.
