Associate Pricing Director or Pricing Director (Pension Risk Transfer)

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end pricing for bulk purchase annuities and other de-risking solutions.
• Integrate commercial, investment, longevity, reinsurance, balance sheet management, and structuring workstreams into pricing projects.
• Support senior stakeholders with technical analysis, strategy, business planning, and ad hoc queries.
• Prepare high-quality client deliverables and support distribution, transaction management, and relationship management activities.
• Lead the development of modelling capabilities, technology solutions, novel transaction structures, reinsurance solutions, and new product lines.
• Manage commercial outsourcing arrangements and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• Commercially minded actuary with exceptional technical skills.
• Required experience in bulk annuity pricing, funded reinsurance, longevity reinsurance, or life insurance balance sheet management.
• Knowledge of UK defined benefit pensions is valuable.
• Understanding of Solvency II and UK life insurance balance sheet construction, liability discounting, asset strategy, and asset-liability management is valuable.
• Experience developing, structuring, and pricing institutional insurance products is valuable.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and meet strict deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience with non-standard capital and reinsurance structures.
• Experience managing people and leading wider team development.
