TL;DR
Head of Regulatory Reporting - Institutional Retirement (Actuarial and Life Insurance): Leading divisional regulatory reporting across an £80bn annuity portfolio, including Matching Adjustment and non-Matching Adjustment funds, with an accent on IFRS, Solvency II/Solvency UK, PLA reporting, and governance. Focus on investigating unexplained balances, improving end-to-end controls and processes, and providing reporting insight and assurance to senior Finance, Actuarial, Risk, and Audit stakeholders.

Location: London, hybrid working between home and the office

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end divisional regulatory reporting across Matching Adjustment and non-Matching Adjustment funds.
  • Produce Profit & Loss Attribution reporting, governance materials, and reporting recommendations.
  • Recommend surplus available for extraction based on robust analysis.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders including the Divisional CFO, Group Chief Actuary, Line 2, and Group Internal Audit.
  • Set and monitor SLAs with production teams, data providers, and business partners.
  • Investigate unexplained balances and technical transactions while improving reporting processes, controls, documentation, governance, systems, and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Qualified Actuary with FIA/FFA or equivalent expertise and knowledge.
  • Strong experience in life insurance, ideally annuities or bulk annuity products.
  • Comprehensive IFRS and Solvency II/Solvency UK reporting experience.
  • Strong understanding of Matching Adjustment reporting, PLA processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent judgement, analytical, communication, and influencing skills, including senior stakeholder management.
  • Confidence working collaboratively across a complex matrix environment.
